Dr. Taoran Ji is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he focuses on developing innovative AI solutions for complex real-world challenges. He currently leads two active NSF-funded projects, supporting research across multiple domains, including time-series forecasting, event detection and forecasting, financial market analysis, event impact analysis, natural language processing, and large language models.

Dr. Ji is an active contributor to the academic community, serving as an author, reviewer, and organizer for top-tier machine learning conferences. Prior to his academic career, he was Director of Machine Learning at Moody’s Analytics, where he led efforts in credit risk evaluation and adverse media screening through advanced sequential data modeling.
